First of all, I'd like to welcome my new readers that I have gotten thanks to a wonderful girl named Amaya who wrote about me on her own blog. Go check her out HERE! <3
Now let's get to business!
Today I will review the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick (No.2 Love is Play) from Peripera!
I went on eBay to order some more BB cream for my mom (the kind I reviewed in THIS post, just #23) and suddenly I found this lipstick.
It didn't cost much and I really liked the colour so I decided to give it a try.
This is what it looks like without the super cool Photoshop effects.
Like the snow? I figured it'd make a pretty neat background
Now my first thoughts were: "Oh my.. this is REALLY neon. This is going to look awful!"
O' how I was wrong. But before I talk about the item itself, let's take a look at the packaging.

"A tinted lip balm that enhances your natural lip color while moisturizing and protecting your lips. Formulated with color reviver technology, this reacts with the chemistry of your lips to make a special shade. This moisturizing balm is loaded with sweet almond oil and rosa canina seed extract to make dry, delicate lips feel comfortably soft and smooth."
(The part in Korean says about the same more or less)
My first impression was that this was a good product. I mean, who would make such a fine box for their product if it sucked? That wouldn't make sense in my head. Also, I've always felt that lipstick was something old ladies would use, but when I pull out the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick I don't feel old, I feel like a young girl adding that extra finishing touch to my look.
Isn't it just cuuuuute?!
This is as close as it gets to the actual colour
Mine is he No.2 but as you can see, you can get it in these 5 lovely shades
Now, I was afraid that the pictures had been photoshopped so much that the colour had changed and that THIS orangy-pinkish was how it would actually looked on. To my surprise (and relief) I learned that it changes as soon as you apply it
For these pictures, my good friend Nanna let me "borrow" her lips <3
(Thank you for being my lip model - your mouth is going to become famous!)
First we have a picture of her bare lips. Plump and well-hydrated.
Now apply the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick aaaand...
voilĂ !
Now she's got sweet and kissable lips~
(The colour is a bit stronger on my lips. Perhaps I just put on a thicker layer)
Knowing that it was a lipstick, I immediately thought it would be dry and flaky-looking like most others do on me. And with the colour... let's just say my expectations weren't so high.
But when it put it on my (completely dried out) lips, it was as if I had just applied lip balm instead. Actually, I'd prefer to classify this as a lamp balm or lip tint since it feels so light on the lips and is also a bit more creamy.
When applied, I felt an immediate effect (so did Nanna and my other friend Maiken who also tried it). Our lips had become soft, just like that!
It also has wonderful smell. It is being described as having a "scent of ice cream sorbet" and I pretty much agree. It's really good!
The feeling of hydrated lips will fade after some time but the colour will stay and this is where you know it is a tint lipstick. Nanna applied it all over her lips but it also goes well being "just a tint".
Pros:
• Has a sweet scent like ice cream sorbet
• Colour stays on for hours
• Makes even the driest lips look good after application
• Moisturizes and makes the lips feel softer
• Free shipping
Cons:
• Maybe a little towards the pricey end considering that it's more of a lip balm than a lipstick (but remember that I'm not an expert in this)
Overall I'm really happy with this product. The scent is just wonderful and the colour is great for both every day use and more formal events. It's light and covers even the most dead-looking lips with a beautiful light pink colour.
If you are interested, you can buy the lipstick HERE!
What about you? Would you get one or do you have one? If so, what are your experiences with it? For which occasion would you wear it?
Come share your thoughts! ^o^
I love the lipstick! x)
