Woooooooow I'm so behind with posts on here!
죄송합니다 ㅠㅠ
I recently received a new item I was going to prepare a review on and a lighter bbcream because, apparently, my skin turns even whiter during the winter. I'm already almost paper white. How is that even possible?! ლ(‘◉⌓◉’ლ)
So I was using the new item and was going to do so for a week before I'd write my review. My skin has been a little bad the past few days due to ... I guess stress? so, being the unpredictable person I am when I have too many things to keep track of, I used a facemask and thus ruined my little don't-do-anything-out-of-the-ordinary-while-trying-new-products plan.
I'm going to start over with the product and make a review, that's a promise!
Until then, I figured I might as well let you all know why I'm so stressy-stressy.
This time it's completely self-inflicted!
You see, in my post about my New Year Resolutions for this year, I wrote that I wanted to attend at least 3 cosplay conventions this year. One of the three I had in mind is coming up in February and since this is actually the largest anime convention we have in Denmark, I really wanted to impress!
Not only did I want to make a new cosplay but also cosplay a character that most people probably wouldn't have thought of already.
I started from the bottom and, since I can't sew for my life, I figured I'd probably need as much time as possible to work on it before February 20th - The day of J-Popcon!
Every day after school and the entire weekend is spent on working on my costume so, for now, I don't have much time to blog. It DOES say cosplay in my blog description so I figured it'd be okay to show you guys my progress so far.
(If you're not into that, come back again soon! I'll make normal blog posts again as soon as the costume is finished)
It still needs a lot of work but.. it's getting there!
I won't tell which character I'm cosplaying yet but I think it's pretty obvious if you've watched the anime that it's from :x

The reason it's taken so long is that we're working without a pattern since I haven't been able to find one with the right shape. Instead we are using another dress of mine from H&M, that we're drawing from and modifying. It takes FOR-E-VER and it's SO complicated, uuugh.
This weekend we're (hopefully!) going to sew on a hat. When I say "we" it's because I'm borrowing my grandmother's sewing machine and because she is helping me out quite a lot - Thanks grandma!
For now we've finished the basic form of the dress. Sleeves and hat are yet to come (plus a bunch of minor modifications).
Meanwhile I'm working on the bandage whenever I have a bit of spare time. Yesterday evening I finished the legs and feet!
So... that was my quick post to let you know that I'M NOT DEAD.
I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible~!
Until then, stay safe and happy <3
I don't know the character you're going to cosplay but I know how you are feeling. I always, always have to make a pattern myself based on clothes in my wardrobe and modify it later. That's kinda tiring and annoying. XD But luckily my Mum also helps me a lot with it. Good luck for you. ^^ I'm curious about the finished cosplay!
ReplyDeleteI cosplayed Eto from Tokyo Ghoul. But there are not too many pictures on google yet since she hasn't had too much screen time in the anime.
DeleteIt IS super tiring but on the other hand, I'm sure your clothes fit you perfectly and looks gorgeous when you're done, am I right? ^o^
Thank you! I'll try to put up pictures of the finished cosplay as soon as I get them :)
And thank you for stopping by and commenting <3
