Today I had made plans to meet with Olivia in the afternoon!
Until then, I took a stroll down to Sinchon (신촌) where, luckily for me, there was a festival going on. To be more exact, it was the 신촌거리예술죽체 (Sinchon Street Art Festival).
I stopped for a short while to listen to someone playing on the piano that is placed near the end of Yonsei-ro (연세로), the street that leads to Yonsei University.
It's such a lovely idea to have a piano placed like. I wish my city would do this but also wonder how many people would use it.
You can find more covers of songs like Sia's Chandelier and the Pirates of the Caribbean theme on his Youtube channel.
Further down the street was a mime performing on a small pedestal. In front of him was a sign with the theme/name of his act.

The sign in front of him said "벽" (wall) but it fell down when he climbed said visible wall.
He also had acts themed/named "아기" (child) and "어른" (adult). His last one, "인생" (life) was so beautifully done that I was decimated to tears right there in the middle of the street.
I felt an urge to eat chocolate and went into my favorite candy store in Sinchon where I found chocolate chips. Not chocolate chip in plural form but chips that tasted like chocolate.
They also had pringles with the following flavors: spicy green pepper, cheesy cheese, sweet mayo cheese, cheese burger, and butter caramel. The weird snacks I find in Korea have yet to disappoint me.
After my kinder chocolate fix I went back outside to explore more of the festival.
I stumbled upon two guys playing some funky steel drum tunes.
..And some other boys just playing in the street. They'd shoot the ball around and occasionally step into the circle and breakdance.
At the very end of the road was a drummer, who was playing using paint buckets and kitchen pans.
There is a video on his Instagram where he's playing while his drum sticks are ON FIRE. Go check it out!
It was getting late so I headed towards Gangnam (강남) to meet Olivia.
At some point I look up and see this couple holding a GIGANTIC fake flower.

She took me to Bronx (브롱스) where we had pizza and beer for dinner. While there, she told me about a nearby pub Kingsman themed pub. I need to go there one day!

The Tea Room we went to is called 춘화당 (Chunhwadang) and I totally agree with Olivia! These are the best scones I've had in Korea so far!
They had several kinds of scones but we went with the simple original ones. With our scones was also served strawberry jam and a delicious butter that might as well have been homemade. On the side we had a refreshing strawberry lemonade.
My pictures do no do this place justice. It was such a cozy atmosphere and I somehow felt at home. Although none of the decorations were some you could find in Denmark, it still all felt so familiar.
I felt like I was visiting an old relative's home. There was even a small, fake fireplace. A couple was occupying the couch situated in front of it. How homely.
Before parting, we went into an Artbox or Daiso where Olivia showed me the mini straightener she uses for her bangs. I cut my hair like this after falling in love with her hairstyle but managing a normal size straightener can sometimes be a bit tricky when you want to only style a small section of your hair.
It came in several different colours but I fell in love with the blue one because of the cute drawing. When I'd finally made up my mind, Olivia grabbed the blue one and ran to the register to pay. She said it was a birthday present to me since she'd also given Jasmin one ㅠ^ㅠ
Look how adorable it is!!!
I was in the mood to go out tonight to avenge being unable to drink yesterday due to my upset stomach. Delphine was not around but had encouraged me to join the others from our guesthouse who were apparently going out that night.
We started out a bigger group but lost people as we went and it ended up being just me and two SUPER COOL French people. The girl was very forward and the guy was openly gay/bi so we spent a great time talking about good-looking guys around us. Speaking of good-lookers, they showed me a picture from a couple of nights prior where they had gone out with The Screaming Italian™. I don't know how or why but in this picture, he was sitting down and SURROUNDED by a HORDE of Korean girls just really fangirling over him. I thought they were joking until seeing the picture myself. Holy cow.
We ended up joining forces with two Korean guys, who had been eyeing us at the first bar, and went to another pub for a beer. Here, some other French girls, who had originally gone with us, joined us shortly. My two new friends weren't too happy about this because the recently joined girls refused to speak anything but French and it was a bit awkward between them and my buddies before they got bored and left again.

The last pictures I want to share with you today is this TINY car I stumbled upon on my way home. Look how small it is compared to that no-at-all-big motorcycle!

The name of the artist is 류성국 (Ryu Seong Guk) and you can find a couple more of his performances if you search his Korean name on google.
Here are some Koreans taking pictures with an art piece that consisted of colourful t-shirts.I felt an urge to eat chocolate and went into my favorite candy store in Sinchon where I found chocolate chips. Not chocolate chip in plural form but chips that tasted like chocolate.

After eating we went to a nearby SPAO to check out the just released Harry Potter collection!
I'm not a Harry Potter fan myself but I bet Jasmin would have loved this place. Speaking of Jasmin, Olivia told me that when Jasmin and I come back to Korea (August this year), she would like to invite us over for a sleepover and also (추석) Chuseok if we had no other plans. She's the sweetest!
Next up was a café a little walk away where they had the best scones, according to Olivia! The Tea Room we went to is called 춘화당 (Chunhwadang) and I totally agree with Olivia! These are the best scones I've had in Korea so far!

We took some cute photos at the café using Snow (a camera app with the most adorable and pretty filters)~
We walked together back to the station and saw this interesting car on the way. I was bigger than it appears to be in this picture and strongly reminded me of the cars you could ride in those jungle themed games from the 90's.Before parting, we went into an Artbox or Daiso where Olivia showed me the mini straightener she uses for her bangs. She also gave me this bag of chips that she'd bought the other day because I told her I have a hobby of snapping pictures of and eating interestingly flavored snacks.
Olivia is amazing and I can't wait to come back and spend more time with her! ♡I was in the mood to go out tonight to avenge being unable to drink yesterday due to my upset stomach.
