[Review] - GEO Tri Color Violet (on light eyes)

Yesterday when looking back at some older posts that I wrote, I realized how far I have come with this blog. Back when I posted my first lens review on July 14th 2013, I wrote that I was sure that my blog would some day grow popular enough for me to do sponsored reviews but when thinking back to that time, I don't think I ever expected to come as far as I have so far.
This is not meant as bragging or to show off. I just I sincerely believe that it's important for us bloggers whether small or big to sometimes stop, take a step back, and watch how we have grown over the years.

I'd like to stop this topic here as that will be for another post that I promise will be up soon.
Instead, today I want to share a review with you. One of the milestones I have reached lately is to be sponsored both wigs and lenses for reviews.
Before I start the review I would like to send a big THANK YOU to LensFlavors who reached out to me a little over two weeks ago - Thank you for the lenses and giving me a chance to grow as a blogger.

Now, let's get to the review.
The lenses I will be reviewing are the GEO Tri Color Violet.
Ready?
Let's go!

                       Diameter                    : 14.2mm
                       Water Content           : 38%
                       Base Curve                : 8.6mm
                       Life Span                    : 1 Year Disposal
                       Brand                          : GEO
                       Colour:                        : Violet

〜〜〜〜〜〜〜

It took about 2 weeks from when I picked the lenses until they first arrived and LensFlavors were quick to respond to my request, sending out the lenses the day after.

And here you see a GEO sticker on the vial, which is to make sure that you have gotten yourself a pair of authentic lenses. To do this you'll have to scratch the silver part and get a code - I verified mine after taking these pictures~

I was already super excited when I saw the lenses in the vial. Isn't that just a lovely shade?

With my order I also received a free lens case and a mystery gift: mine happened to be one of those velcro thingies to hold your hair back while doing your make-up. The lenses were inside the red pack.

Colour   ★★★★★
They have a beautiful beautiful violet colour that is a bit to the warm side. When worn inside they will have a more cold feel to them. The limbal ring is not solid, which makes this pair of lenses perfect as natural lenses for people with light eye colours even though they have an unatural colour in the first place. The yellow/orange spots in the middle are not as visible once worn but do help to make the lenses blend in more with your own eyes. Speaking of blending in, the lenses have a dotted design that becomes less solid the closer it gets to the pupil - another thing that makes them appear natural.
↓Here's a close up↓

Enlargement   ★★☆☆☆
As you will see in the pictures by the end of the post, they do enlarge a bit but not much. A person who's had their share of circle lens experience will probably be able to tell that you're wearing something (or, you know it could also be because your eyes have suddenly turned PURPLE) but I don't feel like they stand out much size wise. With a diameter of just 14.2mm this is to be expected.

Comfort   ★★★☆☆
I'm not exactly sure how to rate the comfort. As for my right eye there were no problems at all but I had troubles with the left lens every time I put it in while I was in Korea. It was thin as well, which might have made it harder but I find it weird how I didn't feel anything in my right eye. Once the left lens was in I had to move it with my finger for it to actually cover my iris and it would annoy my eye for a couple of minutes afterwards.
Otherwise I only had troubles when it was so bright outside that I had to squint my eyes all the time and when that happened, both my eyes would feel annoyed from having the lenses in.
Since extreme sunlight was the only case I had troubles with both lenses I suspect the problems with my left eye being due to my own eye being dry. I know it's possible for one eye to be more dry than the other since I experienced that when I lived in America so I won't too bad of the lenses but at the same time I can't give them 5 stars.

Pictures
Please note that I got a cat hair in my eye, causing some redness in the eye to the right (Just in case one of them looks red on your screen).

Overall   ★★★★☆
I'm really satisfied with these lenses and have no complaints so far. I picked them because I thought they would look very natural and even though they are violet, I don't feel like they stand out too much. Only two people commented on my eyes looking different; one because he always looks me in the eyes when we meet, and the other after I asked her if she could see that anything on me had changed.
I used them as my every day lenses while I was in Korea some 2-3 weeks ago and overall I'm quite happy with them. I'll definitely continue using them until they expire ^0^

If you like these lenses but worry about the color, remember that they are also available in green, brown, blue, and grey.

That was all for now. I hope you enjoyed the review!

[Review] - Geo Starmish Brown circle lenses (on light eyes)

I'm trying out a new layout for my lens reviews so, if possible, please leave some feedback telling me what could be done better and also which swatches you'd like to see (indoor, window light, yellow light, etc.) It would be much appreciated! ♡

Also, thank you for checking back! I know so many bloggers tell their readers to keep coming back for more but I never thought somebody would actually do that for me ;-;
I promise I will try to blog as much as possible even though my exam paper is coming up.
Thank you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a while since my last lens review, hasn't it?
Today I'm back with a new review for you girls on some lenses I bought for my Konan cosplay!
This will be a review on the Geo Starmish Brown circle lenses from HoneyColor!
The lenses came in a sweet box like this~ aaaand the reason for that is because, at the time of my purchase, HoneyColor was having a "buy one pair, get one free" offer so I actually got two pairs that day. I will save the reviewonf the other pair for later on~
As always, the lenses came with a cute animal lens case. This time I got blue... bears I think?
The rip was there already when I opened the box. I don't know how ;;
And at last we have the lens in its vial. The colour they are on this picture was exactly what I was looking for so of course I was very excited to try them on.
I feel like I should have taken more picture on different light (oh well, I can do that in my next review). So this time I will have to do with these three taken outside, in window light, and yellow light (in that order)
Comfort   ★★★★★
The first time I wore them was in school. Since I was going to use them for a convention, I wanted to make sure that they were comfortable enough for me to wear. I put them in around 7am but already started to feel a slight pressure around 11am and around an hour after I had gotten a pretty bad headache. So I took them out and noticed a red halo around my pupil (look to the left of and below my pupil).
(darkened to show the red)
I have earlier experienced problems like that (even my normal daily lenses) so the day of the con I decided to use eye drops right before putting them in. After that, I completely forgot that I was wearing them because they were so comfortable!
I wore them for way longer than what is recommended (I know, shame on me) and it wasn't before many many many hours had passed that my eyes began to feel tired. So yes, very comfortable. I wouldn't bash them because of my first try with them because that clearly was my own fault for having dry eyes.
 Enlargement   ★★★★☆ ( 4½)
Having a thick, black limbal ring really helps these lenses are larger and I love it! There's not much more to say. My friends say I look like a doll when I wear them.
Colour   ★★★☆☆
Since the lenses were bought solely for the purpose of cosplay, the colour was the most important factor. I looked through countless (not even exaggerating here) of pairs of lenses but either they were the wrong colour, an ugly design, from a sketchy website, or simply like those cheap halloween lenses that don't come with prescription. Then, after days of looking at them, I decided to buy this pair and I truly believe this is the pair of lenses that come closest to the desired amber colour (although they are more of a medium dark honey brown). They're quite vibrant on my light eyes but they seem to be even more vibrant on dark eyes. When not in direct sunlight, they cover my entire iris, making it look like a have naturally big brown eyes.
Overall
★★★★☆ (4½)
Geo Starmish Brown was my second pair of lenses and the first pair ever that I bought specifically for cosplay (Konan - Naruto).
I won't say that they have the amber colour I was going for but they certainly are vibrant and much more natural looking than the other lenses I compared them to. Because of them not being too orange, I would seriously consider wearing these for every day use (I have to use my other pairs before they expire though).
Sadly, the colour variation for these lenses is not so great compared to others. They come in this brown colour and  black and I have read that these brown ones have a better enlarging effect than the black ones. Perhaps I should try those too one day?
This marks the end of my review on the Geo Starmish Brown circle lenses from HoneyColor!
I hoped you liked the new "layout". Please tell me if there are some things you think I could do better (^◡^)
You can buy these lenses HERE on HoneyColor and also on PinkyParadise HERE.
[Review] - Geo Bella Brown circle lens (on blue eyes)
For the longest time I've thought that brown eyes were just drop-dead gorgeous!
I remember that, when I was younger, I'd tell my mom how pretty brown eyes were and I'd stand in front of the mirror and imagine how I'd look with those dark charming brown eyes. I thought this would never become a reality until I discovered the magical world of circle lenses!
I've already had one pair of circle lenses before (I did a review on them HERE).
The ones that I bought back then were super cute but not so easy to wear due to their colour. I also bought them with prescription, another prescription than what I am using today, leaving those lenses useless now.
  I really wanted a new pair and this time I tried to go for something a little more natural.
Of course I bought mine from PinkyParadise!
Diameter:                        14.0 / 14.2 mm
Water content:                               38 %
Base curve:                                 8.6 mm
Type:                                1 year disposal
Alright, enough for the dreamy commercial pictures
This was the package the lenses came in.
I had my lenses shipped with express shipping which was supposed to take around 4-7 workdays. Unfortunately for me, I had placed my order right around some holidays. My package was shipped from Malaysia and had to stay in China for a while because they had one whole week off at that time. But I got a tracking number and it was cool to see how it'd suddenly go from China to Germany to France etc.
Inside the package were two little bottles, each had a lens inside, and a cute animal lens case. The lens case is free and comes with every pair you order, which means 3x pairs lenses = 3x lens cases.
Remember to always check if the lenses are not broken or defect BEFORE opening the little jars.
I got a cute pink hippo case this time!
(I'm sorry that the pictures are so "long". I still haven't figured a way to crop my photos without ruining the quality)
Inside                                                                      Direct light
       No lens                                                                  Lens (+ fake lashes)
Because I quoted a fellow blogger when I was about to make my purchase, I got a free random gift
- Crystal eyelid patches! (I haven't tried them yet, but they sure look interesting).
Comfort   ★★★★★
These lenses were very different from the purple lenses I have. While there was constant feeling of "having something in the eye" with the purple ones, I could feel absolutely nothing with these in!
When I blink, it doesn't feel like they are moving around and they do not disturb my vision at all!
    Enlargement   ★★★☆☆
On Pinky Paradise' website, the lenses range from 14.0 to 15.0 mm in diameter. (You will find this lens in the 14.2 section). Considering the size of the lens, I think the enlargement is satisfying. Although they do not have a thick limbal ring, the colour is darkest near the border and becomes lighter towards the middle. It gives a nice effect and I really like it.
Colour   ★★★★★
When I bought these lenses, I thought this would be the beginning of a long long journey in order for me to FINALLY find some brown lenses, that would fit light-eyed people without making us look funny.
Like my purple lenses, I thought the crossover from my own blue eyes to the brown would be too harsh. It wasn't! I was pleasantly surprised! Even though they don't completely cover my own colour, I am very happy with the result. It looks like I have brown eyes but with a tiny hint of blue in the middle.
Overall   ★★★★★
I had not expected to like these lenses as much as I do!
The dolly effect they give is super cute and I believe that I could easily wear these to school. They give me an innocent look because they're a mix between my own blue eyes and then the brown and .. I don't know what to say more. I'm very very satisfied! :)
I would clearly buy these again but I also want to check out other brown lenses. At least I know now that these will always work if everything else fails.
Other Colours
They also come in Grey, Green, Violet, or Blue (I linked each lens, just click their names if you're curious).
