Maleficent make-up

The other day I went to watch Maleficent with my friends Balslev and I felt so inspired by Angeline Jolie's remarkable looks that I just had to try and recreate it!

It was really hard since I really have never contoured before but practice makes perfect!
The pictures up on Facebook and Instagram received a lot of positive feedback and my friend Vibeke and I decided to try to cosplay as Maleficent and Aurora either later this year or the beginning of 2015.

I was not completely satisfied with the look (brighter skin, different brows, sharper cheekbones, larger lips, better contouring around nose and cheeks, and just darken the whole look in general) but I'm hoping to practice more on it soon. Here are the pictures from my first try ^o^

[Review] - G&G Big DM23 Blue circle lens

My posts during this month and June might be a little delayed due to my exams. Hang on!
I was happy to receive so much positive feedback on the banana ice cream post and I even got a text with a picture of sliced bananas in a bag with the text "trying out your recipe". Sadly my phone was being repaired at that point due to some software error and I never figured out who it was since everything was deleted on my phone when I got it back. So to whoever you are, thank you! I hope you enjoyed it ^o^

Moving on to today's post!
Today I am going to review my G&G Big DM23 Blue circle lenses from PinkyParadise!

Diameter:                                   14.5 mm
Water content:                               38 %
Base curve:                                 8.6 mm
Type:                                1 year disposal

I actually bought these lenses at the same time as my Geo Bella Brown lenses that I reviewed HERE but for some reason I never got around writing a proper review of these before now, sorry about that! >0<
I got them in these little containers (remember to always check if the lenses are in perfect shape before opening)
And of course I also got a cute random animal lens case - this time a green... bear?
With every pair of lenses you buy, you get a free case like this ^o^

It just hit me that even though I wasn't supposed to have any eye make-up on, I could at least have covered my red'ish morning face -_- Please just forget about my skin and pay attention to the eyes
Without lens                                                            With lens
Most circle lenses can look a bit freaky in "naked" eyes so I played around with some make-up and took some pictures to show you what it looks like.
Might be a little extreme for every day make-up but if you're going out I think having some blue colour mixed in would really make the lenses stand out
Super close-up!!! O_O See how well it blends?
I also found this picture (with more contrast) from the ball I went to at school. This was how I had hoped my eyes would look but sadly - this is achieved only with camera effects
In real they looked a bit more grey if not in the right light

Whenever I buy lenses, I quote other bloggers and get a free mystery gift with my purchase. This time it was some sort of...  I have no idea what to call it. But it's supposed to keep hair away from your face when you do your make-up. I have seen them being used in Taiwanese programs where contestants transform themselves into beauty queens with the help of make-up.

I'm an every day contact lens user so I'm used to having something in my eyes in the first place. Like all other circle lenses I have tried, I feel a slight discomfort when putting them in but it goes away after just a few seconds. I have worn these a bunch of times now and I cannot feel anything except for the few seconds. It's like they're not even there! Probably the most comfortable lenses I have worn so far.

 Enlargement    (I'd actually say 4½)
The thick limbal ring helps these lenses appear really big and keep in mind they are 14,5 mm so they are supposed to look pretty big. I don't have much to say here. In the right light they can really make your eyes appear like doll eyes.

My natural eye colour is blue/blue-green and if you look at the two pictures with and without lenses you will see that there isn't much difference colourwise. I had hoped they would stand out more and make my eyes more blue so I'm a little disappointed at that point. On the other hand they blend perfectly with my own eyes making them natural-looking yet enlarging.

Overall    (4½)
I was looking for lenses that would perhaps be a little more unnatural and make my eyes more doll-looking. Although they are big, I find these lenses to be more natural - more natural than I had hoped. But I should not bash on them, they are good and super comfortable lenses. I had expected the colours to be more apparent after looking at the picture on their website.

Other Colours
If you are interested in these but looking for another colour you should definitely check out the other ones! These lenses are also available in gray, violet, brown (they look yellow in my opinion), green, pink, and choco.

If you decide to get yourself a pair (doesn't matter which) don't forget to quote
to get your own, perhaps strange, mystery gift ^ㅅ^

How to: Healthy banana ice cream

Lovely weather today, am I right? It seems like summer has finally arrived
Today I'm going to let you in an a recipe you have probably never thought of although it is super easy and super simple! (Thank you for showing me, Sushi!)

I am going to show you how you can make your own homemade and healthy banana ice cream!

You'll need:
  • A cutting board
  • A small knife
  • Bananas (you decide how many. I used 5 for approx. 4 people)
  • A freezing bag (aka. plastic bag for food)
  • A freezer
  • A food blender
  • Milk (I used milk with 0,5 g fat pr. 100 g but I believe it really doesn't matter)
  • Optional: vanilla powder

Let's start with the bananas!
There really is no number, you just have to imagine how much ice cream you think you'll want.
My bananas have some brown spots here and there since I like mine sweet. As you know, the more fresh bananas are, the less sweet are they.

Peel the bananas and cut off everything you don't want
Next we are going to cut them into smaller slices
 Make sure they are not too thin nor too thick. The one in the middle has the perfect thickness
 Also, when cutting, separate the slices. Don't let them stick together like in the bottom of the picture
 When you are done cutting, put the slices in a plastic bad and close it. It doesn't matter if you have one of these clips or if you just tie a knot on the bag itself
 Place the bag in the freezer for 24 hours. When you take it back out, leave it for 5-7 minutes to let it thaw
 In this step we are going to blend and gradually add the milk to make it ice-cream-like
If the slices seem too hard to blend, wait a few more minutes. Also, don't add too much milk unless you want softice
 The consistency should be something like this. If you want, you can add some vanilla powder to sweeten it a little. I highly recommend it
 When you feel like there are no more lumps in the mass, put it in a container and place it back in the freezer
 Wait 1-2 hours and after this it's ready!
You now have your own deliciously homemade banana ice cream!

This is perfect for summer and easy to make if you are going to have people come over ^o^
Let me know if you tried it out. Did you like it?

B.A.P Live on Earth 2014 Düsseldorf Attack! [Long post]

And we screamed so loud!
And we screamed louder!
And we screeeeeeeeeeeamed!!!!!

Then he smiled. Exactly like in the pictures and I wished this moment could last a little longer.
It was so surreal! There we were standing and 6 people we could have never imagined meeting were standing right up there. Seeing him smile because of me (and some thousand other people but I was still one of them!) released a swarm of butterflies in my stomach... It was unbelievable!

"...heheh" he chuckled and lowered his knees to bend over

~~~ [FLASHBACK] ~~~
Friday after school I went home, turned up the volume as high as I could and found B.A.P's first full album on Youtube, and proceeded to pack my stuff while the excitement built up inside me.
00.30 (Saturday) my dad and I took off.
"I wish I could go too!" my mom said as I stepped out of the door.
I don't remember much from our 2 hour long trip there since I slept in the car... but suddenly we were there!
Looking back I have no idea how long we waited at the dark and silent Flensburg bundesbahnhof since everything felt like it was in slow motion, but we probably waited half an hour before they showed up. "They" being two girls whom I had recently gotten to know (without really knowing them) through the Danish fanpage - Michelle and Jennifer.
After having had the usual "parent talk" in which your and their parents make sure everything is alright, my dad and Michelle's uncle left, leaving the three of us and Michelle's mom and mom's friend, Ulla, at the train station. They were such open people and from the moment we met, it was as if we had been friends for  long although we only shared one thing - We are babyz!
At 04.03 we took the first train.
It was one of those regional trains (meaning it wasn't high tech or anything so you have to:
1) listen carefully to the speaker to know when you have to get off or
2) keep an eye out for your supposed destination) and it was all dark.
Except for us and the conductor, who spoke anything but English, it was also empty. But at least it was warm compared to the station itself.
We talked non-stop and even the grown-ups joined in in our conversations over time. After having switched trains a couple of times, the sun rose and it was beautiful. The German landscape was still covered in thick white fog while the horizon was gradually going from a coral green to an electric blue colour.
We didn't manage to both look good in a picture so here are two pics in which one is pretty and the other one derpy
I believe we switched train 5 times or so. On one of the last trains, a speaker said something about polizei (Police in German) but it was a little unclear and none of us were that good at speaking German. Apparently they had just informed us that there was going to be a group of fully armed police officers at the next station.
The group decided to stand right behind us and we had a nice chit-chat with one of them. In the end we asked why they were there and he told us there was going to be a large soccer match in Dortmund, close to where we were going, and that they were there to make sure everything went as expected and that no fans were to spread chaos or something like that.
I don't think any of us had expected to end up in the next train with a large group of singing beer-drinking Germans, but we did. The train smelled weird from the very beginning and ugh they were so noisy!
There were barely seats for us and downstairs was completely filled up (it was one of the two-story trains. Really neat one). This was going to be the longest ride of them all; not just because we had to stay in there for 3 hours but also because some of those people decided to drink more than just two beers.
We knew we were going to be up for long so sleeping now would be a good idea. However, their excessive jumping downstairs made it sound like they were trying to separate the rest of the train from its bottom, making sleep no longer an option.When I woke up Jennifer was covering her mouth and told me that somebody had decided to smoke FREAKING WEED in there (ON A TRAIN?!?!? WHAT. THE. HECK. PEOPLE) and that the 30-something guy in the opposite row had been staring at me all the time I was sleeping.. 변태!!!
Some of the train passengers we were more positive about was a group of guys celebrating one's bachelor party. The guy wore a veil and one of the bands beauty pageants wear saying "bride to be".
At one point they caught us looking at them and said something to us in German but my favorite part was when they all went "kartoffelsalaaaat, kartoffelsalaat, kartoffelsalaaaaat!!!" (kartoffelsalat = potatosalad).
Around 13.00 we FINALLY arrived in Düsseldorf and the weather was perfect!
Our hotel Düsseldorf was super close to the metro station that we just came from and it was soooo cool!
The room the girls stayed in - Really neat if I should say!
After having changed clothes we took the elevator back down and met a guy inside it in a pink fuzzy hoodie with rabbit ears and a shirt underneath showing a stick groom and bride with the text "GAME OVER".
"Getting married?"
His friends in the lobby were filming him and probably dying from our surprised expressions.
We dined with Ulla and Michelle's mom, Dina, quickly and went to the Mitsubishi Electric Halle.
It was fun seeing people in the streets dressed like us. We could instantly tell if people were babyz! It was like a secret code language.
The queue was so incredible long! Oh my! Luckily we found a group of Danish babyz, stood with them, and took pictures to put on our page and let other Danish babyz know we were there
See my pink hair? Michele put in some hair chalk! Doesn't it look awesome?!
We felt really let down when the the girls told us there was a different queue for buying merchandise (including the CD's that let 100 lucky babyz get backstage) T__T
3 hours later they opened the doors and people ran inside.
We were there! We were really there!! While people were finding places to stand, a loud heartbeat-like song was playing in the background.
I was surprised how careful people actually were. The pushing really wasn't that bad, it was just that we were all standing so close. Jennifer is really small though and couldn't see so we moved to the side and from there our view was perfect!
I can't tell which song or performance I liked the most because everything just seemed perfect to me. However, there was a point where they taught us some dance moves and it was hilarious!
I found a great fancam from it. Try to listen to the voice or read the red text. Also, have you seen what they are wearing?!?!?
If you go on Youtube and search "B.A.P Düsseldorf" you can find a ton of fancams and some are actually really really good quality.
Oh! If you like Jongup a lot you might like THIS ONE quite a lot
My words cannot justify how amazing and unbelievable an experience going to this concert was! The boys did their Best and they worked so hard! It was Absolute(ly) Perfect! They were B.A.P!
Song after song they impressed and several times I caught myself looking at the screens instead because I couldn't believe it was actually them. My idols. Standing right in front of me! It was like being inside their MVs!
I had an awesome weekend!
How was yours? ^o^
