[Review] - Heartful silky lipstick

This is actually an item I ordered looooong time ago (together with THIS) but due to bad picture quality (mostly) and very little time to retake some, I had to delay this review.

Anyways! Now I'm back and I hope you will enjoy today's review that will be on my new Heartful Silky Lipstick (SPK 102 Baby Doll) from Holika Holika!
"Baby Doll" such a cute name ♥

The heart shape was what caught my attention at first. Never had I seen such a cute lipstick! And the colour seemed to be much like that of my own lips (I like when it's not too obvious that I'm wearing something).

Let's look at the package, shall we?

"Heart shaped lovely lipstick that displays extremely silky smooth lips with feathery light texture and vivid color"

Cute and simple package that matches the lipstick itself. I like how they made the hearts "stick out" but sadly mine was slightly bent when I got it

A closer picture of the lipstick with lid on. I think it's really charming to look at. Especially with the little floral embroidery on top.

These pictures are surprisingly close to the original colour. Actually so close that I would say this would be the exact colour of the lipstick (at least on my screen).

Although it seems to be a warm pink, it had more of a cold tint to it when applied and I'm not too happy about that. Applying that colour to my lips, having such fair skin, I feel like I look like a doll (in a bad way). The best way I can describe it is if I can make you think of those doll heads that you could buy as a kid and then do their make-up. The manuals said you could also use that make-up on yourself but somehow it always looked like really cheap fake make-up (which it was, of course).
But wearing this lipstick I feel like one of those. I truly dislike most shades of cold pink, which this is.

Below you can find the 8 different shades it comes in. Mine was third from the left.

Once again my beautiful friend Nanna let me borrow her lips for the close-up picture.
At first we have her lips without anything on.
Her lips are in pretty good condition, not super dried out like my own and therefore the colour spreads out more evenly instead of looking flakey. Once again the colour doesn't show up as well on her lips as on mine but it is best described as strawberry milk pink. I think it looks velvet soft on her and the colour suited her pretty well (she has brown hair and I have blonde, perhaps it fits her better because it doesn't make her look like a barbie?)

Google made this gif for me when it automatically backed up my uploaded pictures and I came to like it. I think it is easier to tell the difference between the pictures this way.

When being applied and afterwards when being worn, it seems a little be creamy. It goes on VERY easily. You barely have to touch your lips and BAM! It's on! But although it's creamy it does not feel very moisturizing a all even though it claims to be so.

The smell is super sweet and I dare to say it also tastes sweet (now don't go ahead and eat the whole thing!)
smell.

Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of this lipstick, Nanna liked it a lot and she kept saying she didn't understand why I liked it. I also let another girl from class try it on, her skin is a bit darker than ours and she seemed to like it too. Perhaps I'm just not used to much colour (especially pink) on my lips and this is just too big of a difference, or my skintone is just not right.
Either way it is still really really cute and totally affordable!

Pros:
• Gives a soft as silk touch to the lips
• Very pigmented
• Has a very sweet smell, much like strawberry gum
• Affordable

Cons:
• Might look flakey on dry lips
• Wiped off easily
• Does not moisturize

[Review] - Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick

First of all, I'd like to welcome my new readers that I have gotten thanks to a wonderful girl named Amaya who wrote about me on her own blog. Go check her out HERE! <3

Now let's get to business!
Today I will review the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick (No.2 Love is Play) from Peripera!
I went on eBay to order some more BB cream for my mom (the kind I reviewed in THIS post, just #23) and suddenly I found this lipstick.
It didn't cost much and I really liked the colour so I decided to give it a try.

This is what it looks like without the super cool Photoshop effects.
Like the snow? I figured it'd make a pretty neat background

Now my first thoughts were: "Oh my.. this is REALLY neon. This is going to look awful!"
O' how I was wrong. But before I talk about the item itself, let's take a look at the packaging.

"A tinted lip balm that enhances your natural lip color while moisturizing and protecting your lips. Formulated with color reviver technology, this reacts with the chemistry of your lips to make a special shade. This moisturizing balm is loaded with sweet almond oil and rosa canina seed extract to make dry, delicate lips feel comfortably soft and smooth."
(The part in Korean says about the same more or less)

My first impression was that this was a good product. I mean, who would make such a fine box for their product if it sucked? That wouldn't make sense in my head. Also, I've always felt that lipstick was something old ladies would use, but when I pull out the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick I don't feel old, I feel like a young girl adding that extra finishing touch to my look.

Isn't it just cuuuuute?!
This is as close as it gets to the actual colour

Mine is he No.2 but as you can see, you can get it in these 5 lovely shades

Now, I was afraid that the pictures had been photoshopped so much that the colour had changed and that THIS orangy-pinkish was how it would actually looked on. To my surprise (and relief) I learned that it changes as soon as you apply it

For these pictures, my good friend Nanna let me "borrow" her lips <3
(Thank you for being my lip model - your mouth is going to become famous!)
First we have a picture of her bare lips. Plump and well-hydrated.
Now apply the Love Fairy Tint Glow Lipstick aaaand...
voilà!
Now she's got sweet and kissable lips~
(The colour is a bit stronger on my lips. Perhaps I just put on a thicker layer)

Knowing that it was a lipstick, I immediately thought it would be dry and flaky-looking like most others do on me. And with the colour... let's just say my expectations weren't so high.

But when it put it on my (completely dried out) lips, it was as if I had just applied lip balm instead. Actually, I'd prefer to classify this as a lamp balm or lip tint since it feels so light on the lips and is also a bit more creamy.
When applied, I felt an immediate effect (so did Nanna and my other friend Maiken who also tried it). Our lips had become soft, just like that!

It also has wonderful smell. It is being described as having a "scent of ice cream sorbet" and I pretty much agree. It's really good!

The feeling of hydrated lips will fade after some time but the colour will stay and this is where you know it is a tint lipstick. Nanna applied it all over her lips but it also goes well being "just a tint".

Pros:
• Has a sweet scent like ice cream sorbet
• Colour stays on for hours
• Makes even the driest lips look good after application
• Moisturizes and makes the lips feel softer
• Free shipping

Cons:
• Maybe a little towards the pricey end considering that it's more of a lip balm than a lipstick (but remember that I'm not an expert in this)

Overall I'm really happy with this product. The scent is just wonderful and the colour is great for both every day use and more formal events. It's light and covers even the most dead-looking lips with a beautiful light pink colour.

If you are interested, you can buy the lipstick HERE!

What about you? Would you get one or do you have one? If so, what are your experiences with it? For which occasion would you wear it?
