Anneyooooong! ♥
Lovely weather today, am I right? It seems like summer has finally arrived ☼
Today I'm going to let you in an a recipe you have probably never thought of although it is super easy and super simple! (Thank you for showing me, Sushi!)
I am going to show you how you can make your own homemade and healthy banana ice cream!
You'll need:
- A cutting board
- A small knife
- Bananas (you decide how many. I used 5 for approx. 4 people)
- A freezing bag (aka. plastic bag for food)
- A freezer
- A food blender
- Milk (I used milk with 0,5 g fat pr. 100 g but I believe it really doesn't matter)
- Optional: vanilla powder
Let's start with the bananas!
There really is no number, you just have to imagine how much ice cream you think you'll want.
My bananas have some brown spots here and there since I like mine sweet. As you know, the more fresh bananas are, the less sweet are they.
Peel the bananas and cut off everything you don't want
Next we are going to cut them into smaller slices
Make sure they are not too thin nor too thick. The one in the middle has the perfect thickness
Also, when cutting, separate the slices. Don't let them stick together like in the bottom of the picture
When you are done cutting, put the slices in a plastic bad and close it. It doesn't matter if you have one of these clips or if you just tie a knot on the bag itself
Place the bag in the freezer for 24 hours. When you take it back out, leave it for 5-7 minutes to let it thaw
In this step we are going to blend and gradually add the milk to make it ice-cream-like
If the slices seem too hard to blend, wait a few more minutes. Also, don't add too much milk unless you want softice
The consistency should be something like this. If you want, you can add some vanilla powder to sweeten it a little. I highly recommend it
When you feel like there are no more lumps in the mass, put it in a container and place it back in the freezer
Wait 1-2 hours and after this it's ready!
You now have your own deliciously homemade banana ice cream!
This is perfect for summer and easy to make if you are going to have people come over ^o^
Let me know if you tried it out. Did you like it?
